Welcome to a typical morning in the Birmington household. Chester and Carmen dancing around like fools while Christopher waves “good morning” to his other son from across the room.
Most people would think that a family with two dads would be the most unconventional family in the neighborhood, but that would be taking the Crestfields out of consideration, wouldon’t it?
If anything, the Birmingtons are pretty normal.
They even adopted a pet recently, a cat named Magnus. Isn’t he a cutie?!?
For her brother’s birthdays, Portia baked them each a birthday cake. She could have baked only one, but Carmen wanted a white cake and Carson chocolate... and she wanted each of them to feel special for their special day.
She loves to discuss soccer with Chris, too.
And they all love to listen to Chester play the piano. All in all, they are a very versatile family.
But music, family or sports is not the only thing on her mind these days...
Her boyfriend, Devon Eady, is there almost as much as she’s at his house. They give right next door to each other, so that makes sense on some level.
Besides which, her brothers are friends with Devon’s kid brother’s too. They’re over often, too, especially on the nights when their parents work late. Chester and Chris have often felt sorry for the boys... because their parents work hard and their uncle Dashiel is very unreliable as an adult. So making sure the boys have a decent meal is something they don’t mind doing.
Even if it means seeing Devon do the smustle in their kitchen... *g*
But as their ‘baby girl’ gets older, will Chris and Chester continue to favor the Eady boys’ presence in their home? Will time change how they relate to their sons?
