Eady: Too Much Fun? What's That Mean?

It looks like Daniel’s finally off the couch and back in the bedroom.  Finally.  He and Cecily worked out their problems and frustrations... and Daniel got busy working hard to make up for his demotion.

… and to work out some of the flab he thought he was getting.

Actually, the exercise invigorated him and helped him get psyched for a full day at work, and this in turn, made a big difference at work.  His bosses noticed his renewed enthusiasm and soon, he was back in the running for a promotion.

Just in time for Cameron and Donovan’s birthdays.  The often mismatched twins grew into even more mismatched teens.

Shy, quiet Cameron turned inwards to books and knowledge, while his more outgoing brother turned to his Uncle Dash as a source of inspiration.

*waves at... whichever twin this is*

With three teenaged boys in the house, it seems to have become something of a ‘hang out spot.’  Someone is always coming home from school with them.

Including Devon’s girlfriend, Portia Birmington.

Sadly, Dash, who still hasn’t managed to get a job, isn’t much of a chaperon.  While the teens hang out on the beach or play pool (at least, we hope that’s all their doing), he spends most of his time on the computer, chatting his women online or playing video games... or in his bedroom sleeping off a long night at the club.

Maybe it’s a good thing that Cameron finds the fish more interesting than causing the mischief he’d be able to get into on his uncle’s watch, huh?

That’s not to say the quiet boy doesn’t know how to have fun.  He’s often seen giving his mother grey hair in the mornings... sliding down the banisters instead of walking down them!  Fun times... fun times... but if he breaks his neck, there will be hell to pay!

Speaking of paying for things you’ve stupidly done... Cecily is doing just that.  Living so close to the beach, it’s easy to forget that winter is still winter.  Cecily spent too much time looking out at the water while she contemplated live in general and watched the waves crash on the shore... and wound up with frost bite.  Yikes!

As she soaks in a warm bath and waits for the color to come back into her cheeks, she begins to wonder for the first time... what’s going to happen to their family?  Will Dash ever find a job?  Or move out?  Will Devon go to college or will that Birmington girl be the cause of the usual stupid teen mistakes?  She likes Portia, so she hopes not, but she worries for her boys’ futures.
